Vector graphic format is the most suitable file type for sign-making artwork (Click here for description). Files from the following software programs (including Mac or PC based computers) are acceptable but not limited to: Adobe Illustrator A few methods to transfer artwork files are available: CD's and E-Mail. CD's can either be in Mac or PC format. Please label disks with your company name, phone number, your name, file name and format. E-mailed artwork should be sent to the e-mail address provided by your project manager Note: If you are sending artwork larger than 5 MB, please compress the files with WinZip or Stuff-It file compression software. Compressing files speeds up e-mail transfer time and lessens chances of corruption during transfer. |

| Computer graphics fall into two categories - Vector Graphics and Bitmap Images. Vector graphics are made of mathematical lines and curves called vectors. Common vector file types include the file extensions .ai (Adobe Illustrator) and .cdr (Coreldraw). Bitmap images (also called raster images) are made of grids of small squares called pixels which represent graphics. Common bitmap file types include the file extensions .tif and .jpg. | |
